Tata had signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) group for the launch of this car. Under this agreement, Tata was allowed to share Land Rover’s EMA architecture.
But the problem is that the project of JLR’s manufacturing plant, which was being built in Tamil Nadu, has been delayed. Due to this, Tata is now having to find an alternative solution.
Now, the possibilities are whether Tata will use a cost-effective version of the EMA architecture or outsource the architecture from some other source.
