News suggests that the company is planning to launch the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid SUV in the Indian market in 2028.

Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Powertrain Details.
Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will be given the company’s next-gen hybrid powertrain. This SUV will come with either a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol or a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
In the Indian market, the Palisade will use a 2.5-litre engine that produces a combined output of 334 hp and 460 Nm of torque. The SUV has a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.1 kmpl and a total driving range of 1,015km.
The company claims that the hybrid setup could produce 45% more efficiency, 19% more power, and 9% more torque than the standalone petrol engine.
The Palisade is also available with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine in the global market, but only the hybrid variant will come to India.
The SUV will have a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive as standard, and an all-wheel drive option could also be offered. Palisade will get 3 drive modes of Eco, Sport, and My Drive, along with 3 terrain modes of Mud, Snow, and Sand.
Hybrid Setup Enhances Ride Quality & Handling.

With the hybrid powertrain, the ride quality of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will also improve a lot. It will get an electrically-controlled e-Comfort Drive system, which will help in reducing vertical movement on speedbreakers and will also keep body motion under control during acceleration.
For handling, Palisade will have e-Dynamic Drive system which will get 3 advanced features:
- e-DTVC: Brakes and electric motor provide torque vectoring in steering direction which reduces understeer.
- e-EHA: Maximizes motor grip on sudden steering input thereby reducing skidding.
- e-Handling: Improves traction and stability by dynamically adjusting torque during cornering.
Interior and Features.
The cabin of the Palisade will also be equally luxurious. This SUV is going to get a three-row layout in which 8 people can travel comfortably.
If you want extra comfort in the middle row, Hyundai will also offer optionally reclinable second-row captain seats with deployable footrests.
A dual-screen setup will be given on the dashboard, which will get a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. A three-spoke steering wheel will also be a part of this setup.
Fingerprint Sensor & Advanced Features.
The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid center console has physical controls for the media system and HVAC. The console also has a large armrest, spacious storage space, and a wireless charging slot.

The design of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is expected to be quite bold and boxy. The latest-gen model is expected to be revealed in December 2024.
This time, the SUV looks like Range Rover-esque proportions. Design elements include LED headlamps and tail-lamps with vertical slats, a wide grille, 21-inch 15-spoke alloy wheels, and silver finish body cladding, D-pillars, and roof rails.
Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Price in India.
After launch in India, the price of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid SUV is going to be up to Rs 40-50 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai is planning to localize the Palisade so that the SUV can be exported as well.
Currently, the starting price of the Palisade in the US market is $36,800, which is equivalent to around Rs 31.60 lakh. Keeping this in mind, the Indian pricing has been estimated.
