Hyundai Elexio EV Performance.

The Hyundai Elexio EV is coming in two variants – one front-wheel drive (FWD) and the other all-wheel drive (AWD).
In the FWD variant, you will get a 160 kW EM16 motor mounted on the front axle. Its power output will be around 218 PS.
In the AWD variant, along with the same front motor, another 73 kW (99 PS) motor is given on the rear axle. Both together will generate a total power of up to 233 kW (317 PS)!
The top speed of both variants is limited to 185 km/h. So if you want more power and grip, the AWD variant is definitely right for you.
Range: Will We Really Get 700 Km Of EV Drive?
The exact battery capacity figures have not been officially confirmed, but according to reports, the Hyundai Elexio EV could use a 101.7 kWh battery pack, which would be the second-largest battery pack in the Hyundai lineup (after the Ioniq 9’s 110.3 kWh). The battery chemistry will be Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), which is sourced from FinDreams – a subsidiary of BYD.
The range numbers are also quite promising:
- Claimed CLTC Range – 700 km.
- Expected WLTP Range – 570 km.
- Real-world Range – 500–550 km.
These range figures make it capable of directly competing with the Tesla Model Y and BYD Song Plus.

The Hyundai Elexio EV is going to launch in Q3 2025 – but only for China. This model will be manufactured under Beijing Hyundai (Hyundai + BAIC JV).
