Everyone's heart beats as BMW has been caught testing a new version of its flagship SUV, and the excitement increases a lot.
And this time, we are talking about the Next-Gen BMW X7, whose design and performance are both going to receive a major overhaul.
So will these new updates make the X7 even more royal?
With hints of quad exhausts, a new engine, more space, and electric plans, this SUV feels like next-level.
Let's see in detail what all new we have in this beast.

Next-Gen BMW X7 Spy Shots Of Design Upgrade: Bigger, Bolder, Better.

Spy shots clearly show that the size of the Next-Gen BMW X7 is going to be bigger than before. The quarter glass and cabin size look quite spacious, which indicates extra rear legroom.
The placement of the door handles looks unusual as the new X7 will get minimalist winglet-style handles inspired by the Vision Neue Class X and the M8-based Skytop, with a modern and futuristic touch.
The front design is still hidden in camouflage, but the split headlight layout can be seen again, which was first introduced in the G07 facelift. The DRLs are also interesting in the design of perpendicular bars.
But it’s also possible that BMW is confusing onlookers because these headlights could be temporary, just like they were on early prototypes of the 7-Series G70.
Performance Powerhouse: Quad Exhausts And V8 Magic.
The quad exhausts indicate that this will be an M Performance variant, also called “M lite”. BMW isn’t bringing the full-fledged X7 M, but this model will be no less than a beast. Under the hood is expected to be a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 S68 engine, which is also currently used in the X7 M60i.
This engine delivers up to 523 bhp in the current model, and the ALPINA XB7 produces up to 631 bhp! Now, imagine if this setup is kept in the new version as well, it will become a complete package for performance enthusiasts.
Platform & Electric Plans: Future Ready Design.
BMW’s plan is clearly with a long-term vision. The next-gen X7, internally known as “G67”, will come into production in Spartanburg, South Carolina, from August 2027, and will be launched under Model Year 2028 (MY2028).
Along with this, a fully electric iX7 is also being developed, which will be based on the same CLAR platform. This iX7 will come with new-gen batteries and motors, which will also debut in the new class iX3 and i3 sedan. Meaning, along with internal combustion, BMW’s EV plan is also quite strong!
Engine Options: V8 in the US, Six-Cylinder For Europe?

Now this could be a little controversial – while the X7 will be available with its full eight-cylinder setup in the US market, Europe could get the option of six-cylinder engines running under stricter emission norms. This change could disappoint performance lovers a bit, but BMW will retain its luxury promise.
Cabin & Interiors: Space, Comfort and Class.
Even through the camouflage, it is understood that the cabin of the Next-Gen BMW X7 is going to be even more luxurious and roomy. More legroom at the bottom and improved quarter glass design will take driving comfort to the next level.
BMW’s minimalist approach will be reflected in the interiors as well, as the door handle placements and clean lines indicate.
Next-Gen BMW X7 Launch Date in India.
According to official reports, the production of the New BMW X7 could start from August 2027, and it will enter the global market as a Model Year 2028 vehicle. So if you are waiting for a future high-performance luxury SUV, this could be a perfect contender.
Next-Gen BMW X7 Price in India: Still Under Wraps But Worth the Wait.
Exact pricing has not been disclosed yet, but considering the performance boost, luxury upgrades, and EV-ready platform, it is expected that the price of the Next-Gen BMW X7 will be slightly higher than the current model.
But this flagship SUV from BMW will be a money spinner, especially for buyers who want performance and premium features at the same time. What do you think about this car? Do let us know in the comments.
