BMW’s plan is clearly with a long-term vision. The next-gen X7, internally known as “G67”, will come into production in Spartanburg, South Carolina, from August 2027, and will be launched under Model Year 2028 (MY2028).
Along with this, a fully electric iX7 is also being developed, which will be based on the same CLAR platform. This iX7 will come with new-gen batteries and motors, which will also debut in the new class iX3 and i3 sedan. Meaning, along with internal combustion, BMW’s EV plan is also quite strong!

Now this could be a little controversial – while the X7 will be available with its full eight-cylinder setup in the US market, Europe could get the option of six-cylinder engines running under stricter emission norms.
