Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike Reaches Dealerships – See First Look and Complete Details.

Hey friends, Royal Enfield's 650cc segment is already making a splash in the market. But now the competition is in full swing.

After Kawasaki's Vulcan S and Eliminator 500, now Honda has also launched its powerful cruiser - the Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike, in India.

This bike not only comes with retro charm, but also directly challenges the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 with a sensible price tag.

And the most interesting thing? This bike has finally reached the showroom floors in India after more than a decade of waiting.

So let's know in detail about its design, features, performance, and price.

Design: Classic Cruiser Feels With Modern Edge.

The Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike looks like a textbook cruiser – circular LED projector headlamps, round LED turn indicators, low-slung stance, and pulled-back handlebar style – all create a classic aura.

Its front-set footpegs and wide, comfortable seat provide a relaxed riding posture for the rider. The pillion seat is mounted on the rear mudguard, which feels like a bit of an afterthought.

But since this is a true-blue solo cruiser, the focus is on rider comfort. The instrument cluster is housed in a circular pod with a fully digital display, which also gets a blue backlight and a gear position indicator.

Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike Specs & Build.

This bike rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels, with front tyre size 130/90-16 and rear tyre 150/80-16. There are telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, which offer balanced performance for both highway cruising and urban riding.

The fuel tank of the Rebel 500 is 11.2 litres, and the kerb weight of the whole bike is 191 kg. That is, it is neither very heavy like the Super Meteor (which weighs 241 kg), nor very lightweight like the Eliminator 500 (which weighs just 176 kg).

The Rebel 500 feels perfectly balanced between the two. With this feature, it is competing with both of these bikes.

Performance: Smooth Engine With Solid Output.

Under the tank, the Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike is powered by a 471cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that generates peak power of 45.5 bhp and torque of 43.3 Nm.

The engine is smooth, and the combo of slipper clutch with 6-speed gearbox makes the riding experience even more buttery.

Braking duties are handled by single disc brakes – both at the front and rear – which include dual-channel ABS with Nissin calipers for maximum safety and control.

Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike Price in India.

With all these specs, do you think that the price of this bike will also be high? But that is not the case at all. The Rebel 500 has been launched in India at ₹ 5.12 lakh (Ex-showroom), which is quite smart pricing.

The price of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 starts at ₹ 3.68 lakh, but the premium variants go up to ₹ 3.98 lakh. On the other hand, the Eliminator 500 costs ₹ 5.76 lakh and the Vulcan S ₹ 7.1 lakh, which makes the Rebel 500 a value-for-money option.
