Skoda has retained its classic premium touch in the front fascia, but the new Skoda Kushaq facelift is sure to get some smart tweaks.

Spy shots reveal that the headlights have been slightly revised, and the fog lamps are now set much lower – they could be even bigger.

The vertical slats of the front grille now look a little slimmer, and the top portion of the grille is covered – this could be hinting at connected DRLs, just like the new-gen Kodiaq.

The pattern of the air dam below now feels more squared-off and bold, which gives a modern, sporty touch to the overall design.

Rear Design: Connected Tail Lamps & New Alloy Wheels.

There are no major changes to the side profile, but new blacked-out alloy wheels are visible, which will give the Kushaq a fresh vibe.

Slim tail-lamps are seen towards the back, and a protruding element (probably an LED strip) between them, which extends across the tailgate.

The rear bumper was completely camouflaged, but some cosmetic tweaks are expected. These subtle changes together will make the Skoda Kushaq facelift more stylish and upmarket, especially with the rear connected lighting trend.

Interior & Features Revealed.

Although the images of the interiors have not surfaced yet, it is expected that the cabin will get new trim options, fresh colour schemes, and an upgrade in the feature list. The biggest highlight will be – Level 2 ADAS!

This will finally put the Kushaq at par with its rivals like the Creta, Seltos, Astor, Curvv, and Elevate. This feature will not only justify safety but also Skoda’s premium positioning.

Performance: Same Powerful Engines, But New Gearbox On The Way.

Under the hood, no changes have been made – and frankly, not necessarily.

The Skoda Kushaq facelift will continue with the same current powertrain options:

  • 1.0L TSI (115hp/178Nm)
  • 1.5L TSI (150hp/250Nm)
  • Gearbox options will also remain similar:
  • 1.0L for: 6-speed manual & 6-speed torque converter automatic
  • 1.5L for: 6-speed manual & 7-speed DSG

But the biggest thing is that Skoda is going to introduce a new 8-speed automatic gearbox in 2026, only for the 1.0L engine.

This new AISIN-sourced transmission will improve fuel efficiency and is built according to CAFE III norms. This gearbox will not be available at the time of launch, but is expected by mid-2026.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Date in India: End 2025 or Early 2026?

In a recent interview with Skoda India Brand Director Ashish Gupta, it became clear that the company is now working on shortening its product refresh cycles.

This process has become even faster due to increased localization. So, based on market reports and product lifecycle, this Kushaq facelift could launch in India by late 2025 or early 2026.
