2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport: New Variants, Enhanced Features Unveiled.

Hey friends, the 2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport has renamed its complete line-up.

The trims that were earlier known as "S", "SE", and "HSE" are now called Dynamic S, Landmark, and Metropolitan.

The variant that was on sale in India till now – Dynamic SE - has now been renamed as Landmark.

The top-spec Dynamic HSE will now be called Metropolitan, while the entry-level S variant will now be called Dynamic S.

2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport Design Upgrade.

The exterior of the 2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport also gets new styling highlights. The Landmark trim gets the classic mountain range logo on the skid plates, puddle lamps inspired by the 1989 Land Rover Discovery, and roof rails.

The Metropolitan trim’s luxury appeal is further enhanced with silver-finished ‘Discovery’ bonnet badging, grille, and skid plates. It gets 20-inch alloy wheels with an optional gloss-black finish available.

The entry-level Dynamic S trim focuses on sporty appeal with gloss-black treatment on the bonnet lettering, grille, wheel arches, bumpers, and side cladding.

Interior Tech: Premium Cabin With Standard Hi-Tech Touches.

The interior of the 2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a lot of new updates.

Now every variant gets standard features like:

• Digital driver’s display
• Steering-mounted paddle shifters
• 11.4-inch curved Pivi Pro infotainment touchscreen
• Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

The Landmark variant also has:

• panoramic glass roof
• Sliding & reclining second-row seats
• Rear device holders
• 360 degree camera

The Metropolitan variant brings even more luxury:

With the 2025 update, Land Rover has also expanded its accessory packing line-up. Now, apart from the existing ‘Biking Adventures’ and ‘For Dogs’, new packs are also available:

• Beach Days Pack – Cooler box, sunshades and collapsible load organiser
• Road Trip Pack – Rear seat device holders, roof crossbars and roof box
• Snow Days Pack – Ski/snowboard carriers, rubber mats and snow traction system

These packs give buyers a chance to personalise the SUV according to their use case.

Powertrains: Same Reliable Petrol & Diesel Mild-Hybrids.

Mechanically, no changes have been made to the Discovery Sport. It continues to have the same reliable 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol and diesel mild-hybrid engines:

• Petrol: 249hp, 365Nm
• Diesel: 204hp, 430Nm

Both engines get a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. Another variant is available in overseas markets – Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV).

It gets a combo of a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and 15kWh battery, which gives an output of 309 hp and 540 Nm. This variant is not confirmed for India yet.

2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport India Launch Timeline.

Land Rover India has not yet announced the official launch of the updated Discovery Sport. But since this SUV is locally assembled in India, it is expected that the updated version will also be assembled here.

Currently, the Discovery Sport is available in India for Rs 67.9 lakh (ex-showroom). With the updated version getting new features and trims, a slight premium hike is expected.
