Royal Enfield Fuel Fury 650 Breaks Cover – A Bold Custom Scrambler.

Eddie Mulder won the 1960 Big Bear Run with the Royal Enfield Fury 500. So, as a special tribute, Fuel Motorcycles has designed the Royal enfield Fuel Fury 650 custom bike. It is a one-off scrambler based on Royal Enfield’s new Bear 650.

Fuel Motorcycles, a customization brand based in Barcelona, has created this bike inspired by desert racing and the rugged scrambler styling of the 1960s. Its overall design salutes Eddie Mulder and his legendary victory.

Design & Appearance

The Fuel Fury 650 is presented in a dual-tone paint scheme of red and white. The fuel tank gets bold “In Gut We Trust” badging that reflects its attitude. The side panels also get Eddie Mulder’s iconic racing number.

Royal Enfield itself contacted Fuel Motorcycles for the project, and they were even given an early production unit of the Bear 650 to be custom-built. The design is a tribute but also a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and retro charm.

Custom Features & Modifications

Royal Enfield Fuel Fury 650 Custom Features & Modifications

This scrambler motorcycle gets a lot of visual and functional modifications. It gets dual LED headlamps, raised front mudguards, and an upswept exhaust that looks like typical desert racers.

The seat is a flat single-piece design that is covered in waterproof Alcantara leather and features red stitching that enhances the detailing. The overall graphics of the bike are inspired by the Big Bear Run and the racing chequered flag.

There is also a 21-inch wheel at the front that is shod with Mitas Dakar 6 tyres that offer effortless grip on the desert trail.

Instrument Cluster & Rider Data

The Fuel Fury 650 also uses a rally-style digital instrument cluster that is integrated with the navigation system. The cluster houses all the essential information for the rider, such as speedometer, odometer, tachometer, and GPS roadbook. There are also more advanced data readouts available via the motogadget unit that come in handy when riding in desert-like terrains.

Extra Rally Elements

Some more practical elements have been added to make the customisation rally-ready. These include knuckle guards, sturdy skid plate, comfortable foam grips, and rally pegs. All these components help to further enhance the riding experience, especially on the rough and uneven terrains where this scrambler is intended.

Royal Enfield Fuel Fury 650 Engine & Performance

Royal Enfield Fuel Fury 650 Engine & Performance

The Fuel Fury 650 uses the same engine as the Bear 650 – a 649cc parallel-twin petrol engine. This engine produces a top power of 47 bhp at 7250 rpm and a peak torque of 56.5 Nm at 5150 rpm.

The engine specifications remain unchanged, but the suspension setup has been completely revised to make it more suitable for desert racing. The front forks are now a modified enduro unit, and the rear shocks are fully adjustable, giving the best performance for off-road and rally conditions.

Royal Enfield Fuel Fury 650 Production & Availability

The Fuel Fury 650 is a one-off showcase model, made just to show the customisation potential of the Bear 650. Royal Enfield has no official plans to bring it into mass production.
